Dolph's New Thumb

Dolph had his thumb joint reconstructed last Thursday. It was in a splint for a week, and yesterday they removed the splint and put it in a cast. He had a choice of about 10 colors. I thought that the hot pink would be nice, but he opted for blue. The cast will be on for 3 weeks and then he will do physical therapy to get it to work like a thumb again.  If you like the gory details of the surgery, you can see it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jqOkBE-eHw

  1. I dread this--I have to endure that robot at the end of my comment...

I started to watch the video the other day and it was gross. I stopped. Maybe I'll try again.

Is Dad feeling better? I failed to ask today! I hope so.

  2. Tim and I just watched the video. Do they completely remove the joint? Even though I cringed, the video was fascinating. Is Dad feeling better? Did it help?

    Robot...here I come.

  3. Is Dad's thumb ever going to heal?

23236henkrac was my robot code and when I clicked here to tell you I could actually read one, it got rid of it. I probably won't be able to read the next one. henkrac cracked me up though...oh the possibilities--what a funny word!
